February 20th, 1991- "Opposites Attract" wins Best Music Video, Shortform at the 33rd annual Grammy Awards, held at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

May 21st- Paula is interviewed on NBC's "First Person with Maria Shriver."

June 8th- Her second album "Spellbound," on which she has collaborated extensively with Family Stand founders Peter Lord and V. Jeffery Smith, tops the US chart.  (In doing so, Abdul becomes the first act of the 90's to have two chart-topping albums.)

June 15th- "Rush Rush" heads the US survey for the first five weeks.

June 22nd- Benefiting the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Disney Album "For Our Children," to which Abdul has contributed "Good Night My Love (Pleasant Dreams)", reaches US #31, as "Club MTV Party to Go- Volume 1," on which she is also featured, reaches US #38.

June 24th- "Rush Rush" is certified gold by the RIAA.

July 20th- "Rush Rush" hits UK #6.

July 27th- "Spellbound" hits UK #4.

August 31st- "The Promise of a New Day" bows at its UK #52 peak.

September 5th- Abdul performs live at the eighth annual MTV Video Music Awards ceremony at the Universal Amphitheater.

September 14th- "The Promise of a New Day" tops the US chart for one week.

October- Paula Abdul tops a poll (over the likes of Julia Roberts and Michelle Pfeiffer), conducted by Public Relations firm Bruskin Associates, of celebrity women men "would most like to meet under the mistletoe".

November- While an Illinois judge refuses to dismiss a class action suit brought against Abdul, Virgin Records and its distributor WEA alleging deceptive trade practices, a California federal court orders Virgin to turn over copies of the original recordings of "I Need You" and "Opposites Attract" to vocalist Yvette Marine, who is claiming that she shares lead vocals with Abdul on the cuts. Marine also urges the label and the singer to hold a joint press conference to prove her claims, initially filed as a lawsuit on April 8th.

November 30th- "Blowing Kisses in the Wind" hits US #6.

December 4th- Abdul receives her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood, CA.

December 5th- Towards the end of a two-month US tour (supported by Color Me Badd), she performs the first of three sold-out nights at the Great Western Forum, Inglewood, CA collecting gross receipts approaching $1 million.
