January 1st, 2000- Paula Abdul and actor Andy Garcia were on hand to provide the required element of celebrity for the kickoff event. Abdul said she considered a variety of New Year's Eve venues before settling on her hometown. "I want to be right here," she said. "This is a big celebration. Why go anywhere? The party's going to be here."
January 16th- The OFFICIAL Paula Abdul web site is now online with a page for you to sign up to be notified when the new site is complete! It is currently under construction by McCartney Multimedia.
February 14th- OFFICIAL LETTER FROM PAULA:

February 24th- Singer Ofra Haza ("My Love is For Real") dies of organ failure in Tel Aviv at age 42.
March 29th- Virgin Records tells Paula-Abdul.net that the release date of Paula's "Greatest Hits" album has been postponed until June 6th.
April 21st- Capital FM says Kylie Minogue (remade the "Locomotion" in the early 80s) is going to relaunch her pop career with a song which was co-written by Paula. The lyrics are based on Abdul's bitter split from ex-husband Brad Beckerman, whom she met on a blind date, married in 1996 and divorced 17 months later. "Spinning Around", Kylie's first single for Parlophone, was released in the UK on June 12th.
May 18th- Abdul to choreograph the musical "The Gift" on Broadway. She also worked on another musical, "Reefer Madness".
June 24th- ICE Magazine and Billboard Music report Paula's "The Best of..." is to be released on July 18th.
July 10th- Paula Abdul was invited to attend the state dinner at the White House to honor King Mohammed VI. Paula was reportedly so happy to have been invited that she framed her invitation.
August 2nd- Kylie Minogue's "Spinning Around" was cowritten by Paula Abdul and debuted at #1 on both the British and Australian official national charts! "Spinning Around," the first fruit from Kylie's forthcoming album "Light Years" is her 5th number one hit, her 15th top 5, 17th top 10 and her 27th consecutive top 20 hit in the UK!
August 4th- A fan reports that Paula has been working with Andy Fickman on a pilot for a show on MTV titled "Skirts".
August 5th- Virgin Records tentively schedules Paula's greatest hits package tentively titled, "The Best Of" for release on September 26th.
August 16th- VH1 is currently working on a show titled "The Top 100 Dance Songs." Paula Abdul's video "Straight Up" will be one of the videos featured on the show.
August 19th- www.Paula-Abdul.net was chosen as the Celebrity Site of the Day for Wednesday, August 23rd! Thanks to all of the fans for your support of this site!
September 23rd- Paula Abdul hosts VH1's "100 Greatest Dance Songs" all week long, Oct 9-13th. The show will feature clips, interviews and performances hilighting some of the greatest dance songs of all times.
September 26th- Greatest Hits compilation due out today!
October 4th- Paula is working a deal with the FOX network to launch an animated/live action television show possibly starring MC Skat Kat. (See EW clipping)
October 6th- Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" is voted #81 on VH1's list of "100 GREATEST: Survival of the Jiggiest"
October 20th- Entertainment Weekly placed Paula as the "Winner of the Week" in one of their gag columns. Click here to see the article.
October 31st- Cardio Dance released on DVD today.
December 11th- Paula Abdul was among the many celebrities at the 10th Annual Fire & Ice Ball in Beverly Hills. The event raised money for the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Fund.
