Hey ya! Our own "straight up" groovy gal PAULA ABDUL is spending some "idol" time with the kings of the Grammy noms -- OUTKAST -- at their photo shoot for Blender magazine!
The superduo have been working so hard promoting their album and working on everything from videos to CDs to HBO movies that the fact that they've been honored with multiple Grammy nods hasn't really sunk in yet.
"We don't really feel the effects of what's going on," says ANDRE 3000 (Andre Benjamin). "To me, when you think about the idea of it -- six Grammys -- hell, yeah, I'm happy. I'm really excited and blessed that people are considering the music like that. But we're working and thinking of what to do next."
On their Billboard-busting CD, funked-out fellow Andre woos the ladies with a wildly eclectic R&B feel on "The Love Below," while BIG BOI (Antwan Patton) pumps up the jam with his adventurous hip-hop style on "Speakerboxxx."
For their double disc effort, the guys earned six Grammy nods, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Rap Album.
The hit-making pair will perform twice during the big show on February 8th -- once with GEORGE CLINTON and once with EARTH, WIND & FIRE.
Big Boi tells Paula it's going to be two performances to remember: "The funk summit is going to launch off and land directly on that damn stage, so you watch out for that!"
