Magic Summer 2024 Tour
New Kids on the Block · Special guest Paula Abdul · DJ Jazzy Jeff
EXPLORE THE COMPLETE STORY ↓Overview
Thirty-four years after New Kids on the Block's original 1990 Magic Summer tour, the group brought the name back for a new North American concert run in 2024. Announced on October 30, 2023, the Live Nation-produced tour reunited Donnie, Joey, Jordan, Jonathan and Danny onstage, with Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff as special guests. The summer itinerary launched June 14, 2024, and ran through August 25, combining arenas and outdoor amphitheaters across the United States and Canada.
Paula brought a condensed, theatrical career retrospective to the stage: dancers, tightly choreographed staging, multimedia interludes, and reimagined versions of the singles that defined her pop career. Her set drew from Forever Your Girl and Spellbound, alongside a medley of later recordings. Contemporary performance reports described an energetic, roughly 30–40-minute show built around choreography and visual storytelling.
Advance tickets went on sale in early November 2023. On the June 14 tour opener at Blossom Music Center, Paula was unable to perform because of production issues, as recorded in the site's original News archive. Setlist records document her first appearance on the tour on June 18 in Clarkston, Michigan. The dated itinerary below represents the announced tour schedule; it is not a claim that Paula appeared at every listed performance.
In September 2024, Paula also appeared with Boyz II Men at the Hollywood Bowl for three concerts. Those appearances were separate from the Magic Summer tour, but are preserved here as part of the broader 2024 live-performance chronology.
